Check for updates

New August shows have been added to the list below-- along with more videos from July. Plus I went ahead and labeled the videos so they'd be easier to look through.

Two "It Must Be Something in the Water" videos are up now, Lucy Bonk's performance and the first 20 minutes of the extended improv. Also three performances from the Noisehorror house show on 7/30 have been added-- Baby Ghost, Keahota Hota and Religious Girls. More videos from Lucy's Skechy Backyard Blowout are also up now-- Keahota Hota, Kinetic Color and Greg Owens.

These are all pretty great--- make sure to check them out, and take a look at the updated show list. August is looking incredible so far.

More show listings and videos, plus all the recordings from Invermere House shows IV and V, will be up shortly. So check back soon

There have been some seriously good shows this past month.

During July, Jacksonville saw performances by out-of-town acts such as Projexorcism, Ironing, Hal Mcgee, Russian Tsarlag, Jeff Zagers, Oubliette, Jim Ivy, Dan Reaves, Religious Girls, too many more great acts too list. And our local artists brought the fury as always-- Lucy Bonk, Keahota Hota, Lycan Army, Glyph, Plagues, Styrofoam Swamp, Greg Owens, Dylan Tietze, Kevin Lewis, Travis Johnson, Jameson Williams and others. Along with everyone who was gracious enough to play for us at the last Invermere House show.

Before I get into all that, let me tell you what's scheduled so far for August:

Thanks to Hal McGee for putting together the "There Must Be Something in the Water.." show at nullspace. It's always nice having Action Research for a visit. And what a great show! For those that couldn't make it, it was a series of opening acts followed by a group improvisation that was spread out across the entire nullspace gallery.. For over an hour, spectators and performers alike were roaming around, listening to and creating sounds, all having their own individual experience depending on where they roamed. So many great performers just doing what they do best--- it was amazing.

Thanks as well to Lucy Bonk  for throwing the "Sketchy Backyard Blowout", it was a perfect, relaxing and sonically amazing night. And I extend immense gratitude to Keaton Orsborne, for... well, doing what he always does-- making real things happen. This has been one of the most memorable months I've ever seen in the Jacksonville experimental music scene, and without people like you we wouldn't have near the community we do.

Keaton Orsborne has been so kind as to provide video documentation to many of the great Jacksonville performances in July. Here are the videos in order of the performances themselves (this list will be updated as more videos become available):

Welcome to INVERMERE HOUSE

Invermere House is a label, distro, recording studio and venue for experimental music, in the area of Northeast Florida and beyond. On this blog we will be providing updates for upcoming events and releases, and documentation/publication of the music performed at the house, and at other local venues promoting experimental music and art.

We throw monthly shows where local musicians and artists can come and perform, and network with other artists in the area. All sets are recorded and will be published on this blog and on CD or tape, with the artists' permission. We will be working together with Opiate Publishing (Keaton Orsborne) and an upcoming radio program on Flagler College Radio (more info later) to get all of this documented and exposed to as many interested ears as possible.

If you are interested in attending/performing at one of these shows, recording at our studio, or submitting us some material for consideration of release on our label, please contact us at invermerehouse@gmail.com

For those of you that attended the show on July 2nd, or are interested in hearing what you missed, all the performances will be posted here tomorrow, and will be free to download.

Thanks for your interest in INVERMERE HOUSE!
